Earlier this year, we blogged about whether or not Wade Phillips should be fired after a dismal start by the Dallas Cowboys. After the team many picked to go to the Superbowl got off to a 1-7 start, Cowboys Owner/GM Jerry Jones finally fired Phillips. Taking over at the helm starting this week was Offensive Coordinator Jason Garrett. The Cowboys' first game under Garrett would be at division leading New York, just three weeks ago the Giants came to Cowboy Stadium and knocked Tony Romo out for the year. However, seemingly re-energized by their new head coach, the Cowboys put 33 points on the G-Men, and won 33-20. So the question is will Garrett do well enough with the second half of the season to be named the Head Coach next year, or will Jerry Jones go after a proven winner such as Bill Cowher or Jon Gruden? Clark Judge at CBS Sports say
Garrett deserves a chance at the job, what do you think?
Jason Garrett deserves the position. He has done a decent job so far, why not let him continue? They have nothing to lose.
ReplyDeleteWhile I agree with Chiefs Fan - he deserves a chance - I would not be surprised to see Jerry Jones try to get a big name who has been a winner as a head coach.
