Jason Garrett - Week 10

Earlier this year, we blogged about whether or not Wade Phillips should be fired after a dismal start by the Dallas Cowboys.  After the team many picked to go to the Superbowl got off to a 1-7 start, Cowboys Owner/GM Jerry Jones finally fired Phillips.  Taking over at the helm starting this week was Offensive Coordinator Jason Garrett.  The Cowboys' first game under Garrett would be at division leading New York, just three weeks ago the Giants came to Cowboy Stadium and knocked Tony Romo out for the year.  However, seemingly re-energized by their new head coach, the Cowboys put 33 points on the G-Men, and won 33-20.  So the question is will Garrett do well enough with the second half of the season to be named the Head Coach next year, or will Jerry Jones go after a proven winner such as Bill Cowher or Jon Gruden?  Clark Judge at CBS Sports say Garrett deserves a chance at the job, what do you think?

Week 9- Chiefs vs Raiders

Now i don't like the Raiders as much as the next fan of another team in the AFC West but when my team plays the Raiders i want to beat them by a large margin however, the match up between the Chiefs and the Raiders in week 9 was nothing of a blow out. I felt that there was one coaching decision that would have swayed the result of the game in favor of the Chiefs. When Todd Haley decided to pooch punt the ball instead of going for a manageable 51 yard field goal for Ryan Succope. Coach Haley had the idea to pin the Raiders deep in their own end zone but the result of the pooch punt landed up being a touchback putting the Raiders at the 20 yard line. If you watched the game or saw highlights you saw that the Raiders landed up winning the game in over time 20-23. Leading up to this score the Raiders tied up the game with a field goal with 7 seconds left in the game and won it with a field goal in overtime. Now if the Chiefs went for the field goal instead of the pooch punt it would have forced the Raiders to score a touchdown instead of a field goal to tie it up. I would like to hear your input in this game. do you think the Raiders are better than the Chiefs? Who do you think will win when the Raiders come to Arrowhead?

Week 8 - Mike Shanahan

Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan made a controversial call this week.  With has team down to the Detroit Lions, needing a touchdown to win the game with 2:00 left, Shanahan chose to bench his starting quarterback.  Donovan McNabb was having a rough day, so in came Rex Grossman, who dropped to pass on his first play, and promptly fumbled the football, resulting in a Detroit defensive touchdown, wrapping up the game.  When Shanahan was asked why he benched McNabb, he said, ''I thought that was the best scenario for us to win.''  So we now have a quarterback controversy in Washington after the Skins gave up draft picks to division rival Philadelphia to get McNabb, he is being pulled from meaningful moments.  Read about the game here.  So what do you think, should McNabb be the starter, or is this Rex Grossman's team now?
